Meet Danielle – Founder, Clinical Psychotherapist & Registered Play Therapist
Danielle is the heart and soul behind The Nurtured Village. As a Clinical Psychotherapist and Registered Play Therapist, her mission is simple but powerful, to create a safe, supportive space where families feel truly seen, heard, and empowered.
With a Master’s in Forensic Mental Health and years of experience across the Human Services field, Danielle brings deep clinical expertise to her work. But it’s her lived experience – especially as a neurodivergent woman and mother – that gives her approach such authenticity, warmth, and relatability.
Danielle knows what it’s like to face the hard days and the hidden struggles. She also knows how powerful it can be when a parent feels genuinely supported. That’s why she built The Nurtured Village – not just as a therapy practice, but as a community where families can grow, connect, and thrive together.
What fuels Danielle’s work is a deep belief in play-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and helping parents feel confident and capable – even when things feel overwhelming. Whether she’s in session with a child, holding space for a tired mum, or guiding a group program, Danielle’s approach is filled with empathy, strength, and genuine care.
What makes Danielle special:
She brings clinical skill and lived wisdom together in a way that makes people feel safe – and understood. Her passion lies in walking alongside families, especially mothers of neurodivergent children, helping them feel less alone and more equipped to support their child with compassion and confidence.
A session with Danielle isn’t just therapy – it’s a stepping stone toward a stronger, more connected family.
If you're looking for someone who gets it, who can hold space for both your struggles and your strengths, Danielle would love to walk alongside you and your family.
