A place where children, parents, and caregivers feel seen, supported, and understood.

Text says Welcome to the nurtured village in bright pink text

We believe when one person in the family is struggling, the whole village feels it and when one person is supported, everyone grows.

That’s why we support the whole family not just the child, not just the parent, but the relationships, the systems, and the nervous systems in between.

Whether you're raising a neurodivergent child, navigating your own neurodivergence, or just doing your best to raise emotionally connected little humans — you're in the right place.

Hi lovely,

I’m Danielle, before becoming a parent myself, I spent years working with children and teens labelled with “challenging behaviours.” I walked into their homes, schools, and care teams, not to “fix” the behaviour, but to ask: What does this child need us to understand?

That realisation stayed with me through my own parenting journey. As a neurodivergent mum of two, I’ve felt the overwhelm, the pressure to “get it right,” and the isolation that can come when you’re trying to do things differently.

We’re not meant to do this alone. Once upon a time, we raised children in community, side by side, with shared wisdom and support. Somewhere along the way, that village disappeared.

So I built The Nurtured Village. A space where families can grow together. Where children are supported through play, therapy, and understanding and where parents and caregivers are held in the process too.

This is my life’s work and my lived experience. I’m here to walk alongside you; as a therapist, a fellow parent, and a member of your village.

How can we support you?

Our support is gentle, grounded in neuroscience, play-based, and always neuroaffirming.

For Children

For Parents & Caregivers

For Schools & Professionals

We offer Play Therapy, Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Developmental Education to support emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and functional life skills.

Children can also join social groups like LEGO®-based therapy and Puberty Plus, where they build friendships and confidence in a safe, playful space.

We provide Functional Capacity Assessments, Vineland-3, and ABAS-3 to guide therapy and support NDIS access.

Our Parenting Support offers warm, personalised guidance through one-on-one sessions or ongoing connection inside our Kindred membership.

We also offer trusted, relationship-focused programs like Circle of Security and Bringing Up Great Kids, all delivered with lived experience, play-informed practice, and deep respect for the whole family.

We work alongside educators, support workers, and allied health teams to bridge the gap between understanding and real-world support.

Through consultations, team training, and NDIS-informed assessments, we help build confident, connected teams who understand neurodivergence and the power of relationships.

From classroom strategies to co-regulation, sensory needs to emotional safety, our training is practical, playful, and grounded in lived and clinical experience.

kind words.

The Nurtured Village was the first place I felt truly seen as both a parent and a person.
After years of trying to find the "right" help for my son, we finally found support that actually made sense and felt good. Danielle didn’t just support my child; she supported me, too. I finally feel like I have the tools and confidence to parent in a way that works for us.
