The Nurtured Village is a community driven practice dedicated to caring for children and adolescents and supporting their parents and caregivers.  Our aim is to ensure that not only is the child thriving in their “village” but that their parents and caregivers are feeling seen and supported too. With an emphasis on empowering children, parents and caregivers to develop self-confidence, independence and a positive attitude to learning, The Nurtured Village proudly provides support to the whole family unit.

The Opportunity

In this full-time or part-time role, you’ll work collaboratively with our existing team of nurturing therapists to help form a village for the young people and families we support, ensuring they all have the best possible opportunity to thrive. You’ll also:

  • conduct effective and professional child-centred programs either in our Nuriootpa clinic or out in the community
  • Provide a neuro-affirming and safe environment for children and families to feel comfortable to show their true selves
  • prepare reports and maintain client notes and plans to support strategies and requests for funding.

What will you bring?

  • A tertiary qualification in your relevant field, with registration or membership to the associated industry body.
  • Experience providing child and family-centred therapy and a nurturing attitude towards holistic support for young people and their family environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary allied health team to develop strategies and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Well-developed understanding of the NDIS and the role of allied health professionals in achieving participant goals.
  • Current driver’s licence with a willingness to travel to the Barossa Valley, Riverland and Adelaide Hills regions.
  • Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and completed Responding to Reports of Harm, Abuse and Neglect training.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
